The studio

A small studio with a grudge against busywork.

Morrow Studio started in a Portland garage in 2023, when our founder spent one too many Sundays rebuilding a spreadsheet instead of resting. The first template was for her. The next eighty were for clients. Now they're for you.

We sell what we run.

Every Morrow product is the exact system we use to run the studio. The Finance Tracker is our finance tracker. The weekly review inside Business HQ is the meeting we hold every Friday at 3pm. When a tool earns an update, it's because we needed it first.

That's why nothing here is bloated. A feature ships when it removes a recurring Friday-afternoon problem, and not a release earlier.

Three working principles

How we decide what to build.

1 · Calm is a feature

If a system creates more open loops than it closes, it doesn't ship. A tool you dread opening is worse than no tool.

2 · Ship the boring parts

Invoice numbering, tax set-asides, file naming. The glamorous 10% never matters if the boring 90% isn't nailed down.

3 · One-time, forever

You buy it, you keep it, you get every update. We don't rent you back your own workflow by subscription.

Meet the founder

Fern Morrow

Fern spent eight years as an operations consultant for creative studios — the person called in when the projects were winning awards and the business behind them was on fire. She kept installing the same five systems, so she templated them. Morrow Studio is that box, opened.

She still answers the support inbox herself. Say hi.

Business HQ is the first Notion template I've used for longer than a month. The weekly review view is the whole trick — it makes the system decide what I do next.

I bought the Complete Studio Bundle on a Sunday and by Wednesday I'd invoiced two clients I'd been avoiding for a month. The finance tracker alone paid for it.

The Pricing Playbook is the only business book I've finished this year. Used the three-tier proposal the same week and the client picked the top one. The TOP one.

Brand Your Feed took one evening. My grid finally looks like me, and my VA now runs the whole Canva system without me. Best $69 I've spent on my business.
